Liese has been in sales and marketing for all of her professional career. She began working with a financial guaranty company in Madison, Wisconsin, where she was spotted by a key competitor (GE Capital) and ended up joining GE Capital on her 30th birthday. Liese held many progressively challenging positions at GE Capital including National Director of Sales Training, Area Vice President, and ultimately Vice President of Sales for her subsidiary, which was part of GE Capital’s automotive financial services division. In 1990 she started her first company, a training business, which she sold to a British firm in 1999. Seeking something different, Liese started working in the global trade show industry in 2000, spending time at some of the industry’s top companies, focusing primarily on trans-Atlantic business development. Fluent in German and Italian, Liese has been using her knowledge of trans-Atlantic and trans-Pacific markets for over 20 years. She has a degree in German and Russian from the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh, and she also earned a Master’s Degree in Management from one of the top schools in the nation, the JL Kellogg Graduate School of Business at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
